DataDraw is a fairly mature generation tool for adding advanced featurese to C. In the past, it has been used to add the following features:
- A template-like ability supporting container classes
- Full recursive destructors
- Full database pointer integrity self-check
- Binary load/save of the entire database
- Dynamic extension of database classes
- Array bounds checking
- Pointer dereferencing checking
- Simple iterators
The “New C” code generator is currently being used to help accelerate development of the HackC Core. However, once the core is up and running, it will be rewritten in HackC, thus eliminating any dependence on the older DataDraw tool.
